We have updated our risk assessments for re-opening our facilities at Arden Hall and the pavilion.
The play equipment for the under-12’s has been assessed as safe for use. We will clean it from time to time but it is essential for parents and carers to take their own hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes when visiting the play ground and using the play equipment. Please do not enter the play area if it gets crowded, maintain the social distancing guidelines and stay away if you or anyone in your family, is showing signs of coronavirus.
The outdoor gym equipment will be available for use, but please be sensible and remain alert to the associated risks from droplets and airborne particles. Government Advice is to take a towel with you when exercising, maintain a distance of at least 1 metre from other people and use a face mask. We will not be providing hand sanitizer, so bring your own and make sure you wash your hands with soap and water when you get home.
All the parish council’s open spaces are open to the public where you can gather in groups of up to 6 people and no more than 2 households, observing social distancing arrangements.
Team sports, including cricket, are now being allowed subject to the guidance provided by each sport’s regulatory body. The park wardens will be on site at Arden Hall park during open-hours and all visitors are asked to respect their rights to a safe working environment.
Arden Hall staff have been busy redecorating and refreshing all facilities and have introduced new access guidance in line with covid-19 health and safety restrictions. We look forward to welcoming our regular hirers back as well as new ones; call us if you would like to find out more.
The Pavilion is available for hire and, as the base for Castle Bromwich Cricket Club is used for socializing but within limits set by the parish council.
By now we are all following the new social etiquette for keeping safe from infection. After visiting our open spaces wash your hands with soap and water as soon as you get home; use a tissue to sneeze or cough into (or the crook of your arm if no tissue available) and you are required to wear a face covering when out and about in enclosed spaces.
The office staff for the parish council and Arden Hall continue to work mainly from home. Although the phones are now being monitored regularly the best way to contact staff continues to be by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
Parish Council meetings are now being held online. These meetings are open to the public and joining instructions can be found on each of the agendas on the meetings page here The legal requirement to hold the annual meeting in May was relaxed as part of the Coronavirus Bill that was passed by government in early April.
The council’s annual finances were reviewed at the online council meeting on 24th June and are now available for public inspection; more detail has been posted to the finance pages here
In the meantime, the council echoes the government advice to STAY ALERT, CONTROL THE VIRUS, SAVE LIVES.
