Castle Bromwich Parish Council

Castle Bromwich Parish Council was established in 1894 and is made up 5 wards – Bradford, Park Hall, Timberley, Beechcroft and Whateley with a total of 15 councillors

Full council meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month (excluding August). There are 2 committees each consisting of 10 councillors, the Leisure Services Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month (excluding August), the Finance and General Purposes Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month (excluding August). The Youth Parish Council comprises 15 councillors age 11-21 years and meets on the first Tuesday of alternate months. All meetings are held at Arden Hall.

In Castle Bromwich the Parish Council :-

  • owns Arden Hall, Arden Hall playing fields and Sports Pavillion, Whateley Green, The Village Green and War Memorial, Bradford Gardens and Hob Farm open space and is responsible for their financing and management
  • comments on all planning applications in the parish – Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council then makes the final decision.
  • is the first tier of local government and can play a vital part in representing the interests of the Castle Bromwich community.
    The Parish Council raises funds by adding a parish precept to the Council Tax but also receives an income by hiring out council owned amenities.
